My beloved brothers and sisters, you know how our good Father does not desire the death of sinners, but that they would repent and live, for he, being full of all goodness and mercy, out of such great love, so loved the world that he gave his only Son to save the world, the Son who said openly that he had come to save that which was lost. Indeed, the saying is trustworthy, that Jesus Christ came to save sinners. And this good Savior has promised us that we will receive all that we ask in his name, and that if we forgive the sins of others, God the Father will forgive ours. Believe, therefore, that when we ask God for mercy in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, each forgiving his neighbor with a good heart, our Lord forgives us, and by faith in Jesus Christ our hearts are cleansed.
